Blogger’s Block

I have been meaning to postย  but I have a severe case of the blogger’s block.

To be fair, a lot has been happening in my life lately (more about that later) and It is really not as if I have a lack of inspiration. I just can’t seem to blog, and I have no idea why.

Have you ever faced something like this?

How did you beat it?

  1. No guilt on taking a break or having a bit of a block. Sometimes I struggle to come up with content. A few options to try are interviews of your favorite bloggers (very good for cross promotion), or taking up a writing challenge from prompts. I personally find a good challenge and get those creative sparks from challenges.
Keep your chin up and smile! We’re all checking up on you…ermm…I dont mean that in a stalker sketchy-maghee way….>_>

  2. I like writing prompts and the occasional just type for five minutes (or ten or fifteen) and see what spews forth. Sometimes it’s good – sometimes it’s terrible – and every now and then it gives you that idea you need to make a post. Occasionally it’s fun to just post that word vomit! Good luck!

  3. I’ll second the glass of wine theory. Also, just try writing a blog post that is random or different than you normally would – I’m rather fond of lists for example. They’re easy to make – you can just about create a list about anything – you can make it amusing and you can ask for comments – and people usually enjoy lists and will give you their ideas as well! Or just any type of random piece about yourself, or something that happened in the day, a film you’ve checked out….

  4. Like every traffic jam you’re caught in, you just have to wait till the car in front moves ahead…..don’t feel guilty for not writing. It will happen when it does. Hope you block clears fast and smoothly

  5. I’m currently going through a mental blog-block myself. Although it may not seem that way… oh well, it is quite brain draining to move countries with 2 kids and a husband, learning a new language and living in temp accommodation for 3 months AND living out of a suitcase, and running a relatively new blog all at once. There, I said it all to a total stranger and I don’t feel weird about it one bit. Veena, I like your blog and I hope you’re well ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Wow sounds like you have a lot on your plate! Glad you shared it, that’s how we roll in the blogging world anyway ๐Ÿ™‚
Looking forward to your future posts!
